The band performed live at Nippon Budokan, and it was probably two of the best shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching. There are 18 files all together so far with more on the way.

Angela Aki. I was first attracted to her via her name. "Angela" doesn't sound very Japanese, does it? I was thrilled to learn that she was actually half Italian! A half Italian, half Japanese artist. I think that's amazing, because you never know what you're going to get. So I took a chance. I downloaded her discography and begun to listen to her work.

Now I have to say, this young woman performer had some of the most beautiful female vocals I have ever heard. Her voice isn't as high as a lot of Japanese women singers. Her voice is extremely soothing, and she mixes both Japanese and English into her songs so flowingly you'd never know the difference unless you were really paying attention. As a solo artist, she specialises in piano--and her ability on piano are completely outstanding as well.

But I recommend giving her music a try if you really want to get a taste of what the female voice can actually do. The way she hits certain hit notes without missing anything is mindblowing. In addition to this, her music is extremely soothing. She's the type of artist you can listen to when laying in bed, and you're desperate to clear your mind.

Much different from the rock scene, but Angela's works go down in my book as SUPER relaxing.
